Piers Berry
Senior UX + Product Designer
Based in Reading, UK
I’m a UX / Product Designer with over 20 years’ experience creating digital products for brands across finance, healthcare, publishing, energy, and beyond.
While I’ve held senior roles—including UX Director at Brunswick Group, I’m still very much hands-on, and happiest when I’m designing and collaborating with project teams.
I work end-to-end: from shaping UX strategy through to creating wireframes, flows, prototypes, and scalable design systems. I’m comfortable working closely with developers, presenting to stakeholders, and helping teams make better decisions through user-centred thinking. More recently, I’ve led UX work for award-winning projects with Ariel Investments, Genmab and Global Infrastructure Partners.
Outside of digital, I’m also the founder of Pinion, a British watch company and my passion project, I launched in 2013 to combine my love of design and horology. Whether I’m designing a digital product or a mechanical watch, I bring the same obsession with clarity, craft, and getting the details just right.
Why Work With Me
1. Strategic Thinking, Practical Execution
I bridge the gap between vision and delivery. Whether leading UX strategy or shaping a product roadmap, I bring clarity, structure, and direction to complex challenges—without losing sight of the details that matter. From the big picture to pixel precision, I’m hands-on throughout.
2. Senior-Level Expertise, Still on the Tools
With 20+ years in UX and digital product design, I’ve led teams, delivered award-winning work, and directed design for global brands. But I’m not just about oversight—I still get stuck into flows, wireframes, prototypes and design systems. I believe the best strategy is grounded in doing.
3. Proven Impact Across Sectors
I’ve delivered for clients from startups to FTSE 100s, across finance, healthcare, publishing, energy, and beyond. I understand the pace of agencies, the nuance of enterprise, and the demands of high-stakes digital projects. Whatever the context, I design with purpose—and always with the user in mind.
4. Entrepreneurial Perspective
As founder of Pinion, a British watch brand I launched in 2013, I bring a creator’s mindset to every project. From branding to product development, I understand what it means to build something from the ground up. That same attention to craft, clarity and user experience runs through everything I design—digital or mechanical.
